Winfred House is a modern family home with three bedrooms. The property is set in a
central location in Corby in easy walking distance from public transport routes, shops etc.
There is a good range of amenities within the local and wider community area. The home
has a garage and drive with 4 car parking spaces.
At Winfred House we aim to provide outstanding care, education and therapeutic support for 3 young people aged between 8 and 17 years. We provide a nurturing and safe environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties who have complex needs, particularly as a result of attachment difficulties, usually rooted in early trauma, abuse and/or neglect.
We aim to support and encourage our young people to investigate ways to
achieve their individual goals through feeling cared for and feeling their worth in the
comfort of a homely environment. We aim to create a therapeutic environment in which
we work with the young people, enabling them to live, learn and develop together.
All young people will have access to their own bedroom with a key where
suitable, bedrooms can be personalised and are a personal space to relax and
study.
Winfred House provides care for 3 Young People aged between 8 -17 years with emotional behavioural difficulties.
We also have the resources to deal with:
• Inappropriate sexualised behaviours
• Attachment disorders
• Children at risk of CSE
• Children with detachment disorders
The children we care for are referred to us from Social Care Services and other Healthcare Professionals. We work closely in partnership with local authorities and families to ensure the relevant care is provided.
- Each referral is screened and assessed timely.
- Upon receiving the referral, we assess the needs of a child and make necessary adjustments to provide the child with a home
rather than just a roof over their head.
- The home manager carries out final assessments and risk-matching.
